FAQ's

What CPR and BLS courses do you offer?

We offer three AHA-certified courses. The BLS Provider course (3 hours, $92) is designed for healthcare professionals and covers adult, child, and infant CPR, AED use, and team dynamics. The Heartsaver CPR/AED course (2 hours, from $78) is ideal for non-healthcare professionals, daycare workers, and anyone needing general CPR certification. We also offer a First Aid Skills Only course (15 min, $40) as an add-on.

What's the difference between AHA and Red Cross Certifications?

AHA certification is required for most healthcare employment and licensing. Red Cross certification is more commonly accepted for general community or workplace settings. If you're a nurse, dental assistant, medical assistant, or other healthcare provider, AHA is almost always what your employer requires. When in doubt, check with your employer before booking.

3

What is BLS Provider training and who needs it?

BLS (Basic Life Support) Provider training is the AHA course required for most licensed healthcare professionals — including doctors, nurses, dentists, physician assistants, chiropractors, and respiratory therapists. It covers adult, child, and infant CPR, AED use, and team-based resuscitation. If your employer or licensing board requires CPR certification, this is most likely the course you need.

4

How much does CPR certification cost?

BLS Provider certification is $92. Heartsaver CPR/AED certification starts at $78. First Aid Skills Only is $40. Groups of 6 or more qualify for on-site training at your location. Groups of 10 or more receive a group discount rate. Visit our In-Office Training page for details.

5

Is the certification from the American Heart Association and how long is it valid?

Yes. All certifications are issued through the American Heart Association (AHA), the gold standard accepted by hospitals, licensing boards, and healthcare employers nationwide. Certification is valid for two years from the date of completion.

6

Can I take the course online?

No. All courses are offered in-person only. Hands-on practice with mannequins and AED trainers is required to receive AHA certification. You cannot get an AHA BLS Provider certification through an online-only course.

7

How do I renew my CPR or BLS certification?

The renewal process is the same as initial certification. Simply book a class before your current certification expires. AHA certification is valid for two years. We recommend scheduling your renewal at least 30 days before your expiration date.
